Az amerikai Make-Up Artist magazinban megjelent egy cikk a Csontváros film sminkjéről. Ennek keretében több képet kaptunk az egyes lények concept artjáról, illetve a már kész sminkekről. Érdemes például megnézni a Néma Testvérek sminkjét, azok a rúnák valami elképesztőek!
Ezenkívül kiderül például az is, hogy Magnus partija volt a legnagyobb kihívás, és ezekre a szerepekre alapból olyan színészeket válogattak össze, akiknek valamiért érdekes volt az arcuk, és ezt hangsúlyozták ki sminkkel ahelyett, hogy átlagos kinézetű színészeket próbáltak volna teljesen átalakítani.
